The examination process of biological tissues in order to observe the arrival of diseased tissue or cells under the microscope is known as Histopathology. With the results of these histopathology, the doctors can diagnose the disease in proper manner. Histopathology includes the examination of a small piece of tissue from the skin, liver, kidney or other organ. This is called a biopsy.

The tissue that is studied comes from a biopsy or surgical procedure whereby a sample of the suspect tissue is selected and sent to the laboratory.
